I haven’t done any work on grig for the last couple of months. It seems most users are happy with it (or just left giving up every hope).
There was one report on strange behavior using the TenTec Pegasus (jumpy volume control), but I didn’t really know what to do about it. Then, I received a patch from Ken N7IPB fixing some copy-and-paste errors in several level settings. This actually fixed the reported problems with the Pegasus, too. The complete bug report is here.
So, Grig 0.7.2 got released and shortly after, I got a report back that it was building and working fine on Mac OS X. Further enquiries revealed that building was as simple as on Linux, namely configure/make/make install.
That was very good news for the Christmas 2006
