Mariano, The ATX-1080 does need a counterpoise of about 1/4 wavelength. I don’t use it much because I find it a little difficult to tune on various bands. Cheers, Alex

The seller pointed out to me that he does provide support for grig for 12 months after purchase. If that doesn’t work out, I can also try to help, although I am very busy at the moment.

It is ok, and I don’t mind as such. I just don’t feel that grig is anywhere near being mature enough to be sold. Many of the drivers have been written from specs and have never actually been tested using real radios.
